February 11 Southeast Region Webinar
“See” What I Mean? Using Visual Tools to Add a New Dimension to Coaching Conversations
Carla Yetter

12:00 – 1:00 PM CT
Webinar Cost:
ICF Global Members – $10 / Non-ICF Global Members – $20

Carla Yetter is a leadership development coach with a focus on mid-career professionals. Considering herself a ‘right-brained’ engineer, she combines her technical training, management and leadership experience with a love of visual expression to create a unique coaching experience. By co-creating sketches, mind maps, and diagrams, individuals and teams can process complex ideas efficiently and gain new insights that are not available through words alone.

From cavemen to cartoonists, human beings have understood the power of simple images to communicate big ideas. Each of us uses images to communicate every day; we text a photo to a friend, create a chart for a presentation, or draw a map on a napkin. We understand that using visual images allows us to communicate complex ideas quickly, compactly, and often without a language barrier. In this webinar we will explore and practice several ways to incorporate images and visual elements into our coaching practice.

Roll-Out Continues on Our New Branding Materials

We hope you will download this icon to use on your email signature, in presentations you give or anywhere you can highlight that you are a member of the International Coaching Federation and its very first location with our North Texas chapter!

Visit https://coachingfederation.org/blog/introducing-one-icf to see the entire new brand that more clearly and comprehensively represents the various families and sections that make up our International Coaching Federation.

Member Snapshot

Our ICF-North Texas Chapter has recently surpassed 200 members! To help us know more about the type of coaching they perform, their expertise, and the impressive caliber of our DFW coaches, we want to share a snapshot of a member in each newsletter and on social media starting in 2021. This month we feature Ken Jenkins, ACC.

Ken has been a member of ICF North Texas and ICF Global since 2017.

Before becoming a coach, Ken saw what happened with people who were faced with moments few of us experience. He has helped people and businesses deal with mass casualty incidents. He became an expert who prepared executives and their teams for crises, such as plane crashes, and taught them how to support people in and through traumatic experiences.

Fast forward to today, and it is easy to see how this work helped him to become a coach who can quickly make it clear to his clients how they are showing up for others and who they are in the world. “I can help people bring intense focus to how they live their everyday lives, without having to go through the trauma that makes it crystal clear.” Ken is a big fan of facing fear with vulnerability and empathy which are very useful as he continues to provide disaster and crisis training alongside his coaching services.

Business: Ken Jenkins, LLC. Offering personal leadership coaching, leadership for business professionals, and executive coaching.

Coaching Credential, Certifications: Ken holds an ACC credential from ICF and is also certified in TRACOM’s Social Styles Assessments.

Training: Coach Academy International

Volunteering: ICF North Texas 25th Anniversary Committee, Texas Coaches Coalition Board and a Manager of ICF North Texas Programs Team.

Why are you a member? “I came to try it out for a while, waiting to be disappointed by a program and it never happened. So, I became a member and I’ve recently found that the more I say yes and become more involved, the more benefits I receive. And now I get to be part of the cutting-edge, relevant topics we bring to our fellow coaches as part of the Programs Team!”

ICF Global 2021 Snapshot Survey - COVID-19 and the Coaching Industry

The year 2020 turned out to be like no other in recent history. The challenges posed by the global pandemic were unparalleled for society as a whole and inevitably the full impact was felt across many economies and industries, including the global coaching profession.

This survey collects up-to-date information on the state of the coaching industry, enabling a side-by-side comparison of three snapshots of the coaching industry, pre-pandemic, a unique mid-pandemic study and now a third study to see where the coaching industry is as we hopefully enter the ‘era of vaccines.'

The 2021 COVID-19 and the Coaching Industry Survey is open to coach practitioners and to managers and leaders who use coaching skills in their roles. https://pwcresearch.com/uc/ICF/Covid19/

Your response is vital as this study aims to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the coaching industry worldwide. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) has proudly commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) to conduct this research on their behalf.

If you know of other coaches who would be interested in participating, please forward them the link. The survey is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish. If you have any questions about this research please email: uk_icfglobalsnapshotsurvey@pwc.com. Thank you in advance for your interest in this survey.
