Sales Mastery for Coaches: How to Build Influence and Enroll More Clients Using Skills you ALREADY Possess as a Coach
Chris Kenney

Our October 8 Southeast Region Webinar features Sales and Mindset Expert, Chris Kenney. Chris specializes in teaching his clients how to sell in an authentic, non-pushy, genuine way while charging more than they ever thought possible. He knows when you master enrollment and have a simple step-by-step process to follow, doors open and opportunities get created beyond those you have previously dreamed of. As a Coach, you not only create more incomeyou also dramatically increase the results you have for your clients and your impact on the world.

Join Chris for this in-depth sales mastery training if you have ever reached the end of a sales conversation and heard “I can’t afford it”; if you have ever lowered your prices to ‘fit in’ to what you think the market will pay; if you’re tired of constantly over-delivering and spending long hours working for a low price point; or if you want to raise your fee, but think “people won’t pay that.”

October 9 Virtual Meeting and Program
Fun with Coaching "Stuck"
Teresa J Pool, MCC

Our October 9 Program features Teresa Pool, MCC, Teresa is a highly experienced coach and human behavior specialist with over 25 years of working with leaders and teams to select the best talent, overcome barriers and create a higher degree of success. Her passion is identifying and resolving the people component of challenging business problems.

“Help! What do I do with a client that stalls, doesn’t know what to do next, can’t decide or take action? When the client is totally stuck and neither one of us seems to know what to do about it, I feel like I’m failing as a coach and the client isn’t getting any value from what I have to offer. Where do I go from here?”

Sound familiar? It is an uncomfortable place to be. Sometimes the coach takes on blame, “If I was a better coach, I’d know how to get us moving again.” Sometimes the frustration is laid at the feet of the client, “This client isn’t coachable.” Or the coach reverts to his/her mentoring/teaching/consulting toolkit to get things moving. In this session, we will reframe stuck and see the amazing opportunities it provides both coach and client. Growth occurs in the juicy place right before things get unstuck.

Taming Your Gremlins®: A Surprisingly Simply Method for Getting Out of Your Own Way
With Rick Carson

Meeting Details and Registration Information Coming Soon!

We’ve all experienced the loudness of our inner critic and so have our clients. The monster in our minds—that Rick Carson calls our ‘Gremlins’—can be destructive and create feelings of shame, low self-esteem, fear and depression. To support our clients, we must learn to tame our own Gremlins, so we can help our clients tame theirs.

Left to do its own thing, our Gremlin can destroy our health, foul up our relationships, ruin our disposition, dampen our creativity, hamper our productivity, drive us into low-down funks, and wind us up into fits of anxiety. With Rick, we can learn methods of calming our minds and gaining freedom from self-defeating beliefs. We will have a fun and interactive 60 minutes with Rick Carson, founder of the Gremlin-Taming® Institute.

Celebrate Coaching 2020

Our third Celebrate Coaching event on September 11 was our most successful yet when it came to engaging our broader community in the conversation about professional coaching. More than 70 percent of the audience were guests and clients of our members and they reported getting a great deal of personal value from our time together.

President-elect and Chair of this year’s event, Kathleen Klaviter, noted how each year the members look forward to this event to showcase the effectiveness of integrating professional coaching and leadership development to clients and potential clients. We were thrilled to see the high level of engagement during the event and excellent ratings received.

We heard from experts who truly understand how coaching impacts an organization, including Renee Robertson of ICF Global and Sandy Mitsch, who is one of the top Dare to Lead (Brené Brown) presenters and an MCC.

And we received very positive feedback from our attendees. Here are just a few of the comments they shared:

  • “It was great to learn about the brand-new ICF focus on coaching inside organizations.”
  • “I left challenged to be a more courageous leader and a better person.”
  • “The program was outstanding. Sandy’s great stories made the concepts come alive.”
  • “Loved how we were able to apply it to ourselves and consider how we can use it with clients.”

Thank you very much to our business sponsors who made it possible for us to bring you such high-quality presenters: Measured Transitions, Stewart Leadership, Team Delegate, and Team Tools. Please refer to our sponsor contact sheet https://www.icf-nt.com/docs.ashx?id=686637 so you can easily reach out to them when you need their services.

Remember that recordings, slides, swag bag, and other opportunities shared with those who attended the event are available to view only through October 11. All these and more can also be found in the Sept. 21 email message sent to those who registered for Celebrate Coaching.

We appreciate all you did to make Celebrate Coaching 2020 such an engaging event and we hope it was valuable for you and your guests.

Wrapping Up Coaching Experience 2020

Many of you have participated and we have shared a lot about our volunteer efforts to support the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and their leadership initiative. We have provided a several-month engagement that included group and one-on-one coaching, plus skills workshops, to teach NTFB leaders how to coach their teams. This is an integral part of their offering this year, which also introduces them to Integrating Strengths and a new 4x4 model for their now quarterly reviews. We will be excited to see how their focus on building a coaching culture continues to expand.

ICF North Texas Director of Alliances, Susan Daniel (leader of this effort for NTFB) and her team are analyzing results from the comprehensive coaching opportunities and determining how we can help this important organization to keep developing their vision of a true coaching culture. Early reports already validate that as NTFB leaders learn about themselves and what may be holding them back, they are finding more way to help others be their true selves and perform their best.

We look forward to sharing more about our results in our next newsletter. In the meantime, we continue to be extremely thankful for this partnership and fantastic support from so many of ICF North Texas coaches.

News from ICF Global

                      ICF Global Coaching Study 2020

ICF Global has reported its findings from the 2020 ICF Global Coaching Study. The study was commissioned in 2019 by ICF and undertaken by PricewaterhouseCoopers. This study represents the fourth of ICF’s major research projects on the size and scope of the coaching profession.

The inaugural study was published in 2007 with follow-up studies in 2012 and 2016. The wider, more inclusive scope of the 2016 study was a significant innovation which has been carried through to the 2020 study to provide a fuller picture of the growth of coaching worldwide. Similar to its predecessors, the 2020 study was designed to engage as many coach practitioners as possible in order to provide an up-to-date picture of the coaching profession and empower professional coaches to meet the challenges that lie ahead. Reflecting the continuing growth of coaching, the survey attracted an unprecedented 22,457 responses from 161 countries and territories.

You may check out the results of the 2020 Global Coaching Study here.
