Board Message

Sheryl Chacko
ICF North Texas Director of Alliances

alliances@icf-nt.com

Hello, ICF North Texas Members,

I’m Sheryl Chacko, and I’m honored to serve on your board as Director of Alliances. Our role is to build meaningful partnerships across the community to elevate the awareness, understanding, and impact of professional coaching.

This work matters deeply to me because I believe relationships are at the center of everything. They shape how we live, how we lead, and how we show up in our work and in our communities.

Our chapter builds relationships internally and externally by creating opportunities for our members to be visible and serve—through pro bono coaching, Coaching Corners at local conferences, and community partnerships that bring coaching into spaces where it can truly make a difference.

Welcome New Members!

We are so happy you have joined us.

Big News: Our New Program Proposal Form is Live!

At ICF North Texas, we are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience and make it easier for our community to thrive together by sharing their brilliance.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new online Program Proposal Form! We’ve streamlined the submission process to be faster and more user-friendly. Most importantly, this new system ensures a consistent experience for everyone, providing a standardized framework so that every proposal is given the same thorough and fair consideration by our programming committee.

If you’ve ever thought about presenting a program or a workshop to our chapter, there has never been a better—or easier—time to share your ideas.

From Story to Impact: Elevating Your Voice as a Coach

Discover how clarity in your story builds momentum and credibility.

Join us on April 10th as we celebrate our chapter authors and learn from the insights they’ve gained from transforming lived experience into clarity, visibility, and measurable results.

Through their experiences, we’ll explore how you can:
  • Clarify the story that differentiates you
  • Align your message with the work you most want to do
  • Communicate your value with confidence — in conversations, networking, and marketing
  • Help clients uncover, reframe, and confidently own the stories shaping their lives
This session isn’t just about writing. It’s about using your voice to position yourself, expand what’s possible in your work, and help clients see new possibilities in theirs.

You’ll leave with practical tools you can apply immediately.

Attend in person to meet the authors and explore their work at our Author Showcase or join virtually for the full roundtable experience.

Enjoy time connecting before and after session and engage with fellow coaches who are intentionally refining their voice, visibility, and contribution.

Ready to strengthen how you show up? Join us in April as we learn and Thrive Together.

For virtual attendees: We can’t wait to see you! To help us get the most out of our time together, if possible, please have your camera on and join from a quiet, well-lit spot with your notifications silenced. If you’re using a phone, just prop it up so you can be fully present and enjoy networking with your fellow coaches!

Thought Leadership Corner
The Coaching Renaissance: Building Strategic Foresight

by Robin Fox, Director of Programs

We are entering one of the most exciting eras in the history of our profession. According to recent ICF Global dialogues, coaching is evolving from a developmental "extra" into essential strategic infrastructure. While the world around us becomes more complex, the demand for human-centered clarity has never been higher. We aren't just reacting to change anymore; we are actively shaping the next decade.

As we look toward the 2026–2029 strategic horizon, three shifts are defining the "Future-Ready" coach:

  • AI as an Ally, Not a Replacement: ICF’s recent Coaching Futures Report highlights that while AI can automate reflection prompts, it cannot replicate the "sacred space" of a coaching relationship. Our value in 2026 lies in navigating high-stakes emotional breakthroughs and complex ethical nuances that algorithms simply cannot reach.
  • From "Fixing" to "Futures Thinking": The conversation is moving away from remedial coaching toward foresight. The new gold standard is helping leaders develop the agility to spot "weak signals" of change and turn them into competitive advantages.
  • The Power of Belonging: In an increasingly digital world, human connection is our greatest "product." ICF is doubling down on coaching as a tool for social transformation, ensuring that inclusion and collective growth are at the heart of every engagement.
The takeaway? In a tech-driven world, our human insight is our greatest strength. By embracing foresight and fostering deep connection, we ensure that the future of leadership remains grounded, inclusive, and profoundly human.
