ICF Credentialing Resources
2024 ICF Credential Webinar Series
ICF recently launched a credentialing webinar series designed to support chapters in promoting the value of ICF credentials by providing information on the credentialing process. Please consider joining the newest seven-part series, co-hosted by the ICF Professional Coaches, ICF Learning and Development, and ICF Credentials and Standards teams. All webinars can be accessed through the
ICF Learning Portal on the dates listed below. Recorded versions of the webinars will also be made available on the site.

• Part 3: ACTC Team Coaching on May 2
• Part 4: The ICF Credentialing Exam on June 13
• Part 5: Renewing Your Credential on September 5

Participants in the live webinars will receive CCE units automatically in their transcript. Members viewing the recordings can also earn CCE units upon completion of the learning checkpoint.
2024 Credentialing Q&A Calls
ICF Credentials and Standards staff will be available live to answer questions about the credentialing or credential renewal process. These are one-hour calls and are not recorded. Individuals must register for the call in order to receive the link to attend.

New Connection Crew LINC Group
Our chapter is forming a new LINC Group to support new chapter members. The Connection Crew LINC Group will focus on fostering connections among members, helping build relationships, and exchanging ideas. We will share relevant resources, information, and best practices to help new members succeed and navigate the organization effectively.
This new LINC Group will meet the third Monday of the month from 12:00 – 12:45 PM CT, via Zoom.

ICF North Texas Awarded Chapter DEIB Grant
The International Coaching Federation places diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) at the forefront of everything we do. For 2024, ICF Global has established four meaningful DEIB focus areas and goals, including:
- Expanded representation for our underrepresented communities
- Investing in education to increase our diversity intelligence
- Creating an accessible environment
- Establishing policies that reinforce equity throughout the coaching profession and ICF community
To further those goals within our own community, ICF North Texas recently applied and was awarded a DEIB grant from ICF-Global. This grant will be used to help us better understand what is important to our own members and what actions we need to take to grow and increase our members’ feeling of belonging. Through a series of “Belonging Focus Groups” and interviews to be conducted during 2024, we will assess the current state of belonging within our Chapter, uncover and reflect on our blind spots, and identify opportunities for improvement. The findings resulting from this Belonging Focus Group project will provide information as to how we can remove barriers, grow our Chapter, and build a stronger diverse community of ICF-North Texas coaches.

Member Snapshot - Laura Myers, PCC
Our Member Snapshot is an ongoing glimpse of your fellow members, giving you a great network of resources available to you and reminding you why it is so valuable to belong to ICF-North Texas. This month our feature member is Laura Myers, PCC.
Laura Myers has been a member of ICF-North Texas since 2021 and is an active participant in the 2024 Program Committee, Finance Committee, and the ICF-North Texas Speakers Bureau. She volunteered in 2023 on the Special Events Committee and is still a member of the PCC Credential Support LINC group.
Why coaching? In 2005, Laura began participating in Transformational Education seminars and began practicing coaching. She lost her sister in a tragic car accident in 2006 and during the memorial realized how different her sister’s perspective of herself was in comparison to the people that spoke of her greatness. She was inspired by this and made it her mission in life to inspire others to acknowledge their magnificence and rejoice in it.
Her coaching journey continued when a good friend referred her to a coach. Having a coach helped her become aware of depression as a habit and supported her in changing that habit. Her coach also was a major pillar of support when Laura was diagnosed with cancer in February of 2020, helping her through treatment and the year long journey of healing.
Coaching career: Laura currently works as an internal coach with JP Morgan Chase & Co. Laura’s coach was an advocate in Laura’s gaining her coaching certification which Laura used to share her coaching talents in her internal role at J.P Morgan Chase & Co. This resulted in the company creating a coaching position for her. Laura focuses her coaching practice on career, corporate and executive coaching. She works internally in organization development and leadership development. Having worked in organizations for over 30 years, it was a natural progression for her to coach in support of leaders expanding on their talents. She works with teams and groups in these efforts.
When asked why she loves coaching, Laura speaks of the positive impact coaching has on the world. She imagines a world where everyone has the love and support of a coach. Her goal is to make that happen one person at a time.
Coach training: Laura is a PCC credentialed coach and holds the following certifications: Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) Masters Certification – Executive and Professional Coaching, University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, TX; ACI Certified Confidence Coach; American Confidence Institute. She is currently working on the Stewart Leadership LEAD NOW! Assessment certification.
Favorite coaching story: One of her favorite coaching stories is one where she worked with an individual who wanted to build their confidence to be bolder in speaking up in meetings and sharing their knowledge. As this person progressed in achieving this goal, they were surprised how that confidence to speak their truth also rolled over into their homelife and made a great difference to their family dynamics. They were very proud of the positive impact on all aspects of their life.
Why ICF-North Texas? Laura enjoys building community with fellow coaches who are passionate about making a difference in this world. She joined ICF-North Texas because it is a great way to be a part of something, to immerse herself into a community of individuals who are up to something—something greater than themselves, something that makes a difference in the world.
Laura attended the 2022 Texas Coaches Coalition retreat and conference and found it to be an emotional breakthrough. She had been isolated because of her cancer diagnosis and enjoyed being in the community for the first time in two years. Laura actively participates in the ICF-North Texas community because she enjoys immersing herself with people who have similar missions.
