LinkedIn Inbound Strategy
11:15 AM – 1:15 PM
Virtual Meeting / Program Fee: Chapter Members: $10 / Non-Chapter Members: $20
TalentNet Media founder, Craig Fisher, is one of the world’s premier LinkedIn strategy experts. His digital branding methods have been adopted as internal best practices by LinkedIn and are part of the foundation of LinkedIn’s “Rock My Profile” station at their Talent Connect Conference. Craig created the first Twitter chat for recruiters and partnered in the first LinkedIn-Certified training company in North America. He’s the founder and organizer the largest recruiting conference in Texas and the Southwest, TalentNet Live.
In this presentation we will show you the power of an inbound strategy for LinkedIn to attract and convert prospects for any kind of business, coaching, or service. We’ll discuss the basics of profile optimization for SEO, and a content strategy to build thought leadership and drive referrals. This will be unlike any LinkedIn strategy you have seen before. Craig Fisher can answer all of your questions about LinkedIn, but will also dispel plenty of myths.

July 9 Chapter Workshop
Friday, September 10
8:30 AM – Noon
Celebrate Coaching is a unique event. This is our once-a-year invitation to the community to learn more about professional coaching. It is an opportunity to reinforce why coaching is so valuable to your existing clients and prospects. Celebrate Coaching educates your clients and the North Texas community and beyond about the immense value of your coaching.
This year, we will meet virtually again to allow you to enjoy:
You will come away:
- Two fantastic, globally known authors and speakers—Dr. Marcia Reynolds and Richard Boyatzis
- Participating from wherever you are on September 10
Please watch for your chance to register soon and to line up your guests to attend – and for sponsorship opportunities coming soon.
- Elated that you shared the opportunity with your stakeholders
We’ll learn more about Richard Boyatzis in the August newsletter. This month, we are highlighting Marcia Reynolds who will help us get the guts it takes to trigger real learning.
Dr. Marcia Reynolds, MCC, focuses on the way so many companies struggle with building an engaged, productive culture of collaboration with their teams, helping them to hear one another like never before. She’ll show how the neuroscience behind coaching approaches development so we can build communication, open up new ideas, create progress towards success, and share the practice of Reflective Inquiry.
Marcia helps coaches become their clients’ trusted thinking partner as they discover new ways to achieve their desired outcomes, make critical life choices, solve their dilemmas, and improve the bottom line in their businesses. You can quickly master these practical tips and skills to achieve more profound results from your coaching. Inviting your clients and prospects will reinforce why they need to work with you, now more than ever. In addition to educating your clients and prospects about why coaching is so effective, she will enhance your coaching abilities as you support them in making the changes they want for themselves and their organizations. Marcia will enhance your ability to get results—inspiring clients to commit to taking steps toward their goals without falling back to their old ways once it feels too difficult or awkward.
Whether you are a coach or a client who is or may engage in coaching, this session has a lot to offer. Each of us will discover or rediscover how coaching impacts our brain and prompts long-term behavioral change, Marcia will enhance the way we train people to change their own minds and behaviors. It includes techniques for establishing trust and safety so the coaching can quickly go below the surface and create breakthroughs in awareness.
Marcia has become known throughout the world for her coaching skills and for teaching coaching to support meaningful difference in individuals and the corporate world we serve. Celebrate Coaching 2021 attendees will enjoy her presentation - Going Deeper: How to Shift the Focus to Coach the Person, Not The Problem and we will learn to:
• Evoke new awareness and breakthroughs
• Regulate emotions to maintain trust and move forward
• Use reflective inquiry to change minds for good
• Disturb the usual processing—and get to the discomfort zone to trigger real learning while maintaining trust and safety.
Excerpts from Marcia's books, Outsmart Your Brain, The Discomfort Zone, and Wander Woman have appeared in business and psychological publications world-wide. Her latest bestseller, Coach the Person Not the Problem: A Guide to Using Reflective Inquiry, has been receiving rave reviews since being released June, 2020.
Marcia holds a doctorate in organizational psychology and two master's degrees in adult learning and communication and is passionate about how coaching contributes to making the world a better place for all. She helps coaches and leaders make every conversation a difference-making experience. Marcia has provided coach training in 43 countries and speaks at conferences around the world, and she created the renowned WBECS program, Breakthrough Coaching. She was the fifth global president of the International Coaching Federation and is one of 10 coaches recognized ICF's Distinction for her contributions to the global coaching community.

Member Snapshot: Michele Galen and Kathrine Glass
This month, we are pleased to feature two members of ICF North Texas: Michele Galen and Kathrine Glass.
Michele and Kathrine have co-created an ICF North Texas LINC group for new coaches interested in getting the ACC and launching or building their coaching businesses. This ACC LINC group meets from Noon to 1:00 PM every other Wednesday and is an ongoing source of learning with speakers, sharing resources, tools, and experiences. Michele and Kathrine share group duties and all members take turns facilitating discussion topics and determining speakers.
Organization: Michele Galen offers executive coaching, group and team coaching to high-potential individuals at diverse points in their careers. Her clients tend to be ambitious and talented, seeking greater growth, performance and satisfaction professionally and personally. Michele Galen LLC focuses on executive coaching to leaders and teams in life sciences. Modern Professional Coaching, is a partnership with Michele and ICF North Texas member Laurie Goetz, and offers a group coaching program for rising professionals.
Training and Continuous Learning: In addition to a law degree and a MS in Journalism, Michele has a certificate in executive coaching from Columbia University. She is currently completing the ACC. She is Certified to administer Hogan Assessments. Her ongoing education focuses on growing skills and knowledge, including ICF North Texas and Global offerings, WBECS, and more.
Volunteering Opportunities: Michele moved to Dallas in November 2019 and joined ICF North Texas fairly soon after. She was able to attend one in-person meeting before COVID and at that meeting she volunteered to be part of International Coaching week. This was one of the best things she did all year. The work grew into a year-long project supporting the North Texas Food Bank that was highly rewarding. We supported a critical group during a critical time and, as part of the Steering Committee, she met and built relationships with so many great people, which has led to diverse personal and business opportunities. She intends to stay involved with ICF North Texas as she gets so much from the experience.
Favorite Coaching Moments: My most rewarding coaching is seeing clients reframe internal stories and assumptions to do things they told themselves they couldn’t do or thought were impossible.
Organization: C&S Creative Solutions, Inc., providing Business Coaching and Executive Coaching for individuals and groups.
Training and Continuous Learning: Kathrine is a Certified Life, Career, and Executive Coach from the International School of Coaching Mastery. She is currently finishing up a handful of hours in order to apply for the ACC. She is also a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. Kathrine’s initial training is from the International School of Coaching Mastery. She is constantly growing her coaching skills with self-study and instructor-led education.
Why Are You a Member? Katherine says, “I appreciate the community support and education. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person!”
Volunteering Opportunities: Michele and I established the ACC LINC for our chapter. It has been a great community to help build and we have learned a lot through the content that the LINC provides. I also have volunteered for the North Texas Food Bank outreach.
Favorite Coaching Moments: I like coaching because there are established outcomes and you can immediately see results.
I recently had an executive who was evaluating her happiness at work. We worked together to establish what her driving values are and how they were and were not in alignment with her job. Ultimately, she decided the role she was in was not ideal. We then worked on her mindset and a strategy to help her find a new job. She was able to secure a new position within a growing industry, for a higher title and compensation package, all while keeping her driving values as the foundation for her decision.
We are grateful for Michele and Kathrine and all of our ICF-North Texas members! We like to demonstrate the breadth of coaches with a snapshot to show you the variety our chapter has - and to help you to get to know one another better. If you have a member you suggestion we feature, please reach out to Jane Koenecke (link below in Contact Information).
