Our May 10 Luncheon Program features our current  ICF North Texas President, Mike Caracalas. In addition to being a PCC and CPCC, Mike Caracalas is a Certified Team Performance Coach (CTPC) by Team Coaching International. He partners with leadership teams in large organizations who want to produce better results in a sustainable way. Over the past eight years, Mike has developed a Team Coaching practice in which he uses the Team Diagnostic Assessment© to help teams establish a baseline understanding of their performance and develop concrete plans of action to improve.

High Performance Teams succeed on both levels: 1) they produce meaningful, positive results; and 2) they do it in a sustainable way that leaves team members energized and motivated. In research that will be shared in this presentation, only about 12 percent of teams report being High Performance Teams. That leaves nearly 90 percent of teams failing to come close to their potential. In this presentation, we’ll define Team Coaching, share a powerful model for High Performance Teams, and explain the skills and roles necessary to coach teams to high performance.

May 10 Workshop
Sharpen the Coaching Saw: The Power of Questions
Mina Brown, MCC

1:30 – 3:30 PM

(Immediately following the luncheon program)

Workshop Cost: $35

Join us for the fourth in the series of Sharpen the Coaching Saw ICF competency skill development workshops. Our chapter MCCs and MCC LINC volunteers have partnered together to bring you an opportunity to stretch your coaching skills through learning, demonstration and observed practice. Each workshop is a stand-alone learning experience and participation in previous sessions is not required. We have something to offer all levels.

The May workshop will tap into the power of questions. Mina Brown will lead an interactive and exploratory discussion about powerful questions—the road to awareness: what makes questions “powerful,” how to recognize or challenge clients’ perspectives, how to hear what the client is saying and not saying, and provocative new frames for curiosity.

Coaches from our MCC LINC group will facilitate unique breakout practice activities for each of the four experience levels. We’ll share our learning and take away a practice challenge.

Register for your spot today. At $35, it will be the best investment in yourself for 2019! All proceeds go to our ICF Chapter.

International Coaching Week 2019 - Experience Coaching

2019 marks the 20th year of International Coaching Week (ICW), a global celebration of the coaching profession. ICW is intended to educate the public about the value of working with a professional coach. This is a week when individuals around the world rally together to increase the visibility, understanding and impact of professional coaching. One way visibility is increased is through offering pro bono coaching to non-profit organizations that may not otherwise experience coaching.

International Coaching Week kicked off on Monday, April 29 and formally ended on May 5, 2019. ICF North Texas will be partnering with the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and celebrating ICW for more than just one week. Throughout the summer, more than 40 of our members will be coaching NTFB employees.

Our partnership with NTFB begins this month when Susan Daniel, Director of Alliances, along with Sherry Yellin, an ICF North Texas member, will present a leadership development workshop to staff to help prepare them for the coaching experience.

Our coaches will begin their partnership with their coachees in June providing three hours of coaching to each employee. That’s over 120 hours of coaching impact!
