ICF Core Competencies Unscripted

One Chapter...One Meeting in August!

You said you wanted more focus on the ICF Core Competencies...Well, let's go!  Our August 2010 monthly chapter meeting will give you three (3) full hours focused 100% on what you've asked for...the ICF Core Competencies!

We will begin with a panel discussion by Past Presidents of the ICF-NT organization.  A LIVE coaching demonstration, illustrating the competencies at various levels (ACC, PCC, MCC) will follow the panel discussion.

Then the FUN begins...we are extending the session for two (2) additional hours to allow you to receive a more in-depth experience.  Past Presidents and other senior coaches will serve as table hosts to allow you to delve into a deeper discussion of two of the eleven core competencies (one hour for each competency).

The entire session qualifies for three (3) hours of Continuing Coaching Education Units (CCEU) in the area of Core  Competencies.  One CCEU will be earned by attending the panel discussion and demo.  An additional two (2) CCEUs will be earned by attending the remaining two hours of the session.

The August 20 Luncheon featured a panel discussion of the ICF core competencies by past presidents of our Chapter.  A 2-hour workshop followed during which the past presidents and other senior coaches hosted table discussions, allowing participants to delve deeper into the core competencies.   
 

July 23 Luncheon  - Tarrant County

Leveraging Your Personal Network Part II

The July 23 Tarrant County Luncheon featured Dan Novak, Ph.D. Dan helps organizations and leaders find actionable answers to soft issues. He coaches in the areas of leadership breakthrough, organizational strategy, organizational culture, organizational networks, innovation, teamwork, and human/organizational performance. This fast-paced overview provided participants with different approaches to network analysis and explored how these approaches could help you make money and grow your coaching business.

Seven Simple Secrets of a Six Figure Coach by Mary Allen

Attendees at the July 9 luncheon discovered the "Seven Simple Secrets" from a coach, Mary Allen, who has been breaking a six-figure income for several years now.  They learned how to put these simple, powerful and practical “secrets” into action without thousands of dollars, how to use this unique combination of "secrets" to help identify activities that were not in 100 percent alignment with their business and were empowered and inspired to take the missing actions to become a "six figure coach."

Wisdom Circles in The Core Competencies conducted by Mina Brown, Julie Overholt, Teresa Pool, Sara Smith, and Beverly Wright 

 

Attendees were able to increase their understanding of ICF Core Competencies with the support of these incredible coaches.  As a group, the leaders of the Wisdom Circles have over 100 years of combined coaching experience, teach in the coaching and Executive MBA programs at UTD, TCU and SMU and have worked with Fortune 100 companies as both internal and external coaches.

 



June 11 Luncheon (Plano)

 

Performance Intelligence: The Five Essentials to Achieving the Mind of a Champion

 
The June 11 Plano Luncheon featured Julie Bell, PhD, the founder and president of The Mind of a Champion, a coaching firm in Dallas, TX. The Mind of a Champion (MOC) focuses on working with organizations that seek to improve their Performance Intelligence (www.TheMindofaChampion.com).  Her presentation focused on recognizing the four key coaching voices (Monkey on your back / Intimidated / Natural / Determined) and learning how to refocus that voice to consistently set you and your clients up for success. Participants learned how to develop and coach routines or habits of the mind. The presentation helped ICF-NT members and guests take their personal game to the next level and coach others to do the same.

 


  

 May 28 Luncheon (Tarrant County)

A Live Session Conducted by Ginger Cockerham

 

Group Coaching is huge in the market place and in the coaching industry. The power of group coaching can be talked about all day without experiencing the full power that happens within a group. At the Tarrant County ICF meeting on May 28, Ginger Cockerham, MCC,  coached a live group and wearing two hats: one as the live “in the moment coach” of the group, and the other as the mentor coach for the audience.

The May 14 Luncheon featured Dr. Jayne Gardner, who has devoted her professional career to the study of personal growth and the betterment of people’s lives. Attendees experienced Dr. Gardner’s popular corporate seminar Wired to Win in a hands-on fashion and learned how to give clients the increased vitality, energy, and inspiration that comes with rewiring the brain.

Her focus was on effectively using technology in order to brand you and market your business.



April 10, 2010 Special 1/2 Day Workshop

Outbound Marketing vs. Inbound Marketing... A duel to the death!

 

Our workshop facilitator, Jennifer Bagley, CEO of Compliments International, LLC, led a  power packed workshop about how to create the most effective inbound marketing plan in the world.  We learned how to create a plan and use the tools to be found by people learning about and buying services or products in our industry.  Jennifer's program focused on how changing the way we market can enhance our brand and speed our business growth.

ICF Credentials: An Update on the One Credential Issue

 

The March 26 luncheon features Ginger Cockerham, who served as Vice President on the ICF Board of Directors and now serves on the ICF Foundation Board. She is a Master Certified Coach with the Federation. Ginger will give us insight on the evolution of this issue, update us on the current status of the credential discussion, and answer members questions regarding planning for the future.
