2012 ICF NT Program Focus 2012: Growing Yourself, Your Clients and Your Business
ICF-NT is dedicated to providing value to our members and guests by providing programs that address a range of coaching interests from building a private practice, to learning new coaching skills to working effectively in organizations. Whether you are a solo practitioner, a corporate internal coach, a client or a corporate customer, ICF-NT will bring you value each month.

Lunch is served as a buffet. The cost is $30.00 for members and $40 for non-members if paid in advance. There is an additional $10 fee if registration is received less than 5 days prior to the meeting. Reservations are necessary as seats may be limited. Often a workshop is offered after the monthly program. Details on these educational opportunities are also listed below.

January 13
Program: Focus on 2012 - You and ICF-NT
As we forward to 2012, it’s the perfect time to reflect and plan. In January we will quickly share where we are as a chapter and our plans for 2012, with a particular focus on helping you understand how to get the most value from ICF and the North Texas Coaches resources available to you. The focus will then turn to YOU and YOUR 2012 goals. This interactive session will include a quick assessment along with coaching in pairs.
February 10
Program: What is Neuro-Axiology
The February 10 Luncheon features Peter Demarest, the co-founder and President of Axiogenics, LLC; co-author of the book, Answering the Central Question; and a pioneer in the field of neuro-axiology (the integration of mind-brain science and value science).
March 9
Program: Assessment Showcase
Several chapter members have asked, "Which assessments should I use with my clients?" "How can I best use assessments when coaching?" "What does it take to become certified in various assessment tools?" At the March 9 Luncheon Program you will hear from these experts on four assessment tools that are applicable to a range of coaching contexts.
April 13
Program: Got Message?
Note: This is a breakfast meeting featuring Rick Tamlyn. One key lesson I've learned is that “people hire you, who just happen to have coaching skills -- rather than hiring a coach, who just happens to be you.” This distinction is profound once fully understood and integrated. This 1 hour session will address this very topic and support coaches in finding their own message, which in turn will “up our game” as a coaching community.
Workshop: The BIGGER Game is coming to DFW?
ICF-NT is sponsoring the Bigger Game workshop, April 13-14, 2012 with Rick Tamlyn, MCC and our own Sara Smith. The Bigger Game is a way for coaches and their clients to find passion and direction to create a new future.

Program: ICF Competencies: Are you in Jeopardy?
The coaching competencies are the first thing we learn in our training and often the first thing we forget when we graduate. During this program we are going to bring them back to being top of mind and have fun while doing it, using a Core Competencies version of Coaching Jeopardy.
Workshop: Pumping Iron - Core Competency Workout One: Setting the Foundation & Co-creating the Relationship (a 3 part series on Competencies)
Join Teresa Pool and other coaches as they review several ICF competencies (Establishing the Coaching Agreement, Establishing Trust and Intimacy, Coaching Presence). Demonstrations will be provided by the instructor and chapter MCCs. There is an opportunity for individual practice and Q&A.

Prism
The Prism Award was created to recognize, honor, celebrate, and learn from organizations who have embraced coaching as an integral part of their leadership strategy. The presentation of this unique award is one of the highlight events of the year for International Coach Federation Chapters around the world. Read more....

Program: Cross Cultural Effectiveness: Why is This Critical in coaching?
Debjani Biswas PCC will discussthe importance of Cross Cultural Awareness in coaching and help participants to develop their skills in this arena. Come and assess your personal areas of strength and opportunities in Cross Cultural Effectiveness and use Johari Window and Emotional Intelligence concepts to increase your Self-Awareness in coaching. Participants will have the opportunity to apply program concepts in a small group exercise.

Program: Invisible Differences--The Nuances of Gender
Marsha Clark will bespeaking on the topic of “Invisible Differences – the Nuance of Gender.” Herpresentation will focus on understanding gender differences in specific areas –relationships, meetings, communication, and leadership styles.

September 14
Program: Neuroscience: Using Emotion to Forward the Action!
Dr. Jayne Gardner defines emotion as energy in motion – or “E-Motion” -- and neuroscience proves that change occurs around emotion. Session participants will learn new ways to facilitate client-directed change with both positive and negative emotion, as well as what to do when a client is devoid of emotion.

October 12
Program: The Field Guide to Sales: Ten lessons for selling your coaching services
Debbie Mrazek has been supporting higher level performers for over 25 years. In this session, Debbie will show you how to open more conversations, create more interest and gain more clients. Drawing on her salesexperience, she will show you thee tools and language designed to win business and more importantly, create customers for life.
No Workshop is scheduled for October 12.
November 9
Program: Coaching's Creative Quotient
David Matthew Prior, MCC, will be joining us from New Your City. David was one of the early pioneers of the coaching profession and served on ICF’s Global Board of Directors. His thoughtful and forward thinking coaching approach is informed and influenced by organizational theories, models and practices. His program and the workshop that follows will be based on two of his enormously popular ICF Global Conference presentations.
In this 90 minute program you will learn 3 creative coaching techniques to stimulate your clients’ “imagination muscles,” along with 3 new tools for working with individuals and teams
Workshop: The Coach With 7 Voices
Following the lunch program David will present his three hour workshop,The Coach with 7 Voices. This program will focus on the possibility, power, and impact that results when a coach truly works off of a moment-to-moment reality with their client.
